“Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk…’ So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple— walking, leaping, and praising God.” (Acts 3:6-9)
Recently a well known intercessor in the Christian community released a “prophetic word” asking believers everywhere to fast and pray for this nation. According to this ‘prophet’, America was teetering on the brink of another “great depression” and she believed the fasted prayers of the saints could keep it from occurring. While I certainly believe this is indeed a time for fasting and prayer, I disagree with her premise.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9) “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34)
Does God suffer from schizophrenia? When privately addressing His disciples in Matthew chapter ten, did Jesus forget what He had previously said to the multitudes in Matthew chapter five?
