When the Lord called us to begin Other Side Ministries He specifically stated that it was to be a ministry, not a business. As such, our provision is completely dependent upon Him and His limitless resources. The Scriptures are clear concerning this matter.

"Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel."(1 Corinthians 9:14)

The method God has instituted for fulfilling this command is through giving. From the very beginning, the Lord determined that those who are called to separate themselves from the secular work force are to be supported by those they serve. The Levites were those the Lord called for His service [the work of the tabernacle].

"Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the tabernacle of meeting." (Numbers 18:21)

The Apostle Paul reinforces this truth. He refers to the Levites as "elders".

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain," and, "The laborer is worthy of his wages." (1 Timothy 5:17-18)

The Bible makes other references to this truth as well. Therefore, it is with humility, not with apologies, that I point to these Scriptures. I am fully aware of the abuses and the lack of character that has existed among many ‘Christian’ organizations. However, we should not allow a few ‘bad apples’ to dictate our obedience to God’s Word.

Other Side Ministries is also committed to tithe and give offerings. As such, we are currently involved with many great ministries and missionaries. My wife and I have made a commitment to the Lord as well as to anyone He moves to sow into this ministry. We promise to honor God in the handling of all our affairs, especially in the area of finances. We will strive to use every dollar to His glorification and to the lifting up of the name of Jesus.

I would ask you to seek the Lord before contributing any funds to this ministry. Find out if this is a place God would have you to sow, or if it is into another ministry.
